Ringette Ontario has indicated that there may be three divisions in Provincial play this year; male only, female only, mixed. Teams will need to decide which division they will play in. Teams that are made up of only male or only female players can decide that they will play in the mixed division. If there are fewer that two teams in a division, it will not be held. If there are only two teams in a division, those two teams will play each other for league play and in the Provincial tournament. At present, it doesn't appear that there will be any teams with only male players. Ringette Ontario requires that we collect your gender indication as well as your intention with regard to the division of team on which you are willing to play. You will NOT be able to change your gender indication or an intention to play mixed at a later time. Your indication of a gender or the division of team will not affect your potential selection for the team, which will be based on an unbiased review of skill levels. Non-binary/Not indicating players can play on any division of team. After the team has been provisionally selected, the team will need to make a determination of the division in which the team will play based on these intentions and any further discussion. Once the division is determined, the team will be finalized based on the divison.
