👉 2026-27 Player Intent to Tryout Form
Deadline to submit: March 16, 2026
The Intent Form:
Notifies Ringette Ontario of your interest in competitive play
Helps EFRA determine how many teams we may be able to host
Is required before attending any A or AA tryouts
Does not commit you to trying out
EFRA does not yet know which A or AA teams we will be hosting for 2026-27.
Intent form submissions help us project numbers and determine potential team viability.
Please submit your form as soon as possible.
All teams must be approved by Ringette Ontario.
Competitive ringette (U14A and above) involves:
Higher intensity practices and games
Increased travel
Longer season commitments
Tryouts to earn a roster spot
Greater time and financial commitment
Competitive teams compete against other associations across Ontario and may attend provincial championships.
If you are new to competitive play, don’t worry — many families are navigating this process for the first time.
Ringette Ontario has updated its Team Formation Policy for 2026-27:
The association must obtain written approval from RO.
This rule applies to ALL levels of play, including:
U14 B/C, A, AA
U16 B/C, A, AA
U19 B/C, A, AA
This is not limited to A and AA teams.
Families should be aware that playing up will be rare and only approved when necessary to ensure a team can be formed.
AA tryouts (our region): Begin in April 2026
A tryouts (association-based): Begin in May 2026
Exact dates, times, and locations will be posted on EFRA's website after Ringette Ontario approves team hosting.
EFRA will host a virtual information meeting for families interested in competitive ringette.
This session will cover:
What competitive play involves
The tryout process
Time and financial commitments
