The U14B Head Coach plays a key role in supporting athletes as they continue their transition from foundational development toward more advanced team play and competition. This stage is often where athletes begin to develop a stronger understanding of teamwork, personal accountability, and commitment to the sport.
This is a volunteer leadership position that plays an important role in athlete development, retention, and fostering a positive team experience. The successful candidate will be supported by the association through coach development opportunities, program resources, mentorship, and assistance with recruiting assistant coaches, team staff, and other volunteers as needed.
The U14B Head Coach is responsible for leading all aspects of team operations and athlete development while creating a safe, positive, and inclusive environment that promotes skill development, sportsmanship, confidence, and enjoyment of the game.
A successful U14B Head Coach creates an environment where athletes continue to improve their skills, build confidence, develop positive relationships, and strengthen their commitment to the sport. Success is measured through athlete development, enjoyment, sportsmanship, team culture, and athlete retention.
